“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” — Luke 10:2 (NIV)

Sometimes the mission field looks like open skies, hard soil, and willing hearts. Rob and Debbie reflect on what it means to live out the Gospel through daily faithfulness—right where God has placed you.

The photo captures a moment of quiet purpose—hands at work, the horizon stretching wide, creation humming with the goodness of God. For Rob and Debbie, this image isn’t just about physical labour; it’s a symbol of spiritual readiness.

“Every field we step into is an opportunity,” Rob said. “Not just to work, but to worship. When we give our effort to God, even the simplest task becomes sacred.”

Clear Call Ministry has long emphasized that mission begins at home. Whether in Merritt’s fields, city streets, or distant nations, the calling remains the same: to make disciples who make disciples. “You don’t have to wait for a plane ticket to serve God,” Debbie added with a smile. “You can start with the person beside you.”

Faith in the field is about perseverance—trusting that God is at work in the unseen. It’s the patience to sow when the ground feels hard, and the courage to believe that the harvest will come in His time.

As seasons change, so does the work. There are days of planting, days of tending, and days of reaping—but every one of them belongs to the Lord.

And when Rob and Debbie look across the field, they’re reminded of the deeper harvest—the hearts ready to hear the Gospel, the lives waiting to be transformed by grace.
